A pair of arrests have been made after a man was found deceased in North Battleford on Thursday.
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit has charged two males following a homicide in North Battleford.
According to RCMP on March 13, at approximately 7:45 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of an injured male in a business parking lot off the Highway #16 Bypass in North Battleford.
Officers immediately responded and located the male, who was declared deceased by EMS at the scene.
The male has been identified as a 30-year-old from North Battleford. His family has been notified.
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit took carriage of the investigation.
Two adult males who were arrested at the business have been charged in relation to the male’s death.
Further investigation has determined that one of the males assaulted and pointed a firearm at another individual in the business, and the two adult males confined the individual to a room at the business. The victim was later transported to hospital for injuries described as non-life threatening in nature.
Kojac Adams, a 19-year-old male from North Battleford, is charged with one count, first-degree murder, one count, forcible confinement, one count, assault with a weapon and one count, pointing a firearm.
Garren Baptiste, a 19-year-old male from North Battleford, is charged with one count manslaughter, Section and one count, forcible confinement.
Adams and Baptiste are scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on March 16.
