P.A. real estate agent named one of top 200 across the nation

A Prince Albert real estate agent has been named one of the best in the country.

Jesse Honch of Coldwell Banker was included in a list of the best 200 real estate agents in the country.

The annual list of the top 200 agents is published by Real Estate Professional magazine.

To allow for discrepancies in home prices in different markets, the list is focused on the number of transactions per agent as opposed to overall sales volume.

Honch is in the top one per cent of Coldwell Banker agents worldwide, and in 2016 crossed the 100-ends threshold.

“It’s definitely exciting,” Honch said. “It’s always good to get some recognition for the hard work you’ve been doing. The most important recognition is from my clients, but to be awarded a spot in a national magazine like this, especially being from Prince Albert, is pretty huge.”

The accomplishment is even more impressive considering the majority of agents named in the list are from major metropolitan centres.

Honch credits his approach to sales and acceptance of new technology as key factors in his success.

“When I first got into the industry, I was out for supper in my first couple of weeks and there was a table behind me talking about how realtors are the scum of the earth, and how we’re here just to get a pay check and are willing to cut anybody’s throat or stab anyone in the back to get a deal done,” he said.

“I really wanted to change the perception about what a realtor is, because there are a lot of great realtors in Prince Albert who really care about there clients, there to guide them through the process.”
