Piwapan will host the 2026 Justice and Health Symposium Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13 at Eagle Point Retreat between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day.
March 12 the agenda includes guest speakers, lunch and a networking event. On March 13 there will also be guest speakers and lunch.

Northern fish harvesters to meet in Prince Albert March 10 and 11
On Tuesday, March 10, The Saskatchewan Co-operative Fisheries Ltd (SCFL) will host a general fisheries meeting March 10 at the Coronet Motor Hotel in Prince Albert. The Focus of the meeting, the future of FFMC in Winnipeg and the impacts on fishers in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
On Wednesday, March 11, they will hold their Annual General Meeting “where members will review reports, address board business and discuss next steps for the organization,” quoted from a SCFL new release dated March 6, 2026.
Ile a la Crosse to celebrate 250 years
Plans are underway for the 250 Anniversary of the second oldest Métis community in Canada, Ile a la Crosse between July 3 and 8, 2026.
There will be something for everyone in terms of culture, history, music, art, drama, language and more.

GDCS looking for Chaperones
Gordon Deny Community school are looking for chaperones for their Fish4Life trips for March 12, 13, 20, 24, 25, 26 and 27.
Parents will be notified of the trip date for their child.
Volunteers must have a Vulnerable Sector Check (VAC), which can be completed with the RCMP Wednesdays and picked up Thursday.
“The school can provide a Volunteer Letter to support your VSC request.”
