National Child Day celebrations
National Child Day, Nov. 20, marks the anniversary of two child-related United Nations documents, the UN Declaration on the Right of the Child (adopted Nov. 20, 1959) and the UN Convention on the Right of the Child (adopted Nov. 20, 1989). National Child Day will be celebrated with a Pop Up at Marker 47, Wed. Nov. 12 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
And at the Kikinahk Friendship Centre on Wed. Nov. 19 between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Restricted Firearm class
Steve Hopper will offer at “restricted firearms class” on Sat. Nov. 15. Participants must have a “valid, current PAL licence.” The class will run between 10 a.m. and “run to completion.” To register contact Steve Hopper at 306-420-7511.

Ms Emily will read a three to four chapters from her favourite books, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, by Rick Riordan, each Friday beginning Nov. 7 and continuing weekly until Dec. 12, between 4 p.m. and 5:15. p.m. “The program has no set age range and is up to parental discretion,” quoted from the announcement. Still Walking
The Robertson Moccasin Collection, Still Walking, will be on display in the La Ronge Arts Council (LRAC) Gallery at the Alex Robertson Public Library for the Month of November.
Outdoor Christmas Planter
Kelly Armstrong will offer an opportunity for people (12+) to create a Christmas Plant the Curling Lounge, in the MEL, on Sat. Nov. 22 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Registration is required. The link for the registration will be posted on the Town of La Ronge Facebook page.
Ski Swap and Lunch
The La Ronge Nordic Ski Club will hold their annual Ski Swap on Saturday, Nov. 29 at the Elk’s Hall in Air Ronge.
Folks can drop of used gear between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. and two Swap and Shoop, an opportunity to buy used or new ski gear, will be open until 3 p.m. Come and go lunch will also be available.
