Three arrested after robbery and aggravated assault

Three suspects are facing numerous charges after a man was robbed and shot in the foot.

At approximately 5:46 a.m. on Wednesday, Prince Albert police attended Victoria Hospital.

The victim said he had been partying with three others at a home on the 100 block of 20th Street East the night before.

He said he was robbed of his cellphone and money and shot in the foot by another man.

Then—shortly after 10 the same morning—the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) located the three suspects in a cab on the 100 block of 23rd Street East.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested them, seizing two rifles and ammunition in the process.

A 30-year-old man is charged with 16 firearms-related offences and breach of probation order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Two women, ages 32 and 25, are each charged with 14 firearms-related offences.

The man and 32-year-old woman are additionally charged with using a firearm for robbery and aggravated assault.

All three suspects appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Thursday.
