Two teenage girls have been charged in connection with a Sunday gas bar robbery.

At 7:52 p.m. that evening, the Prince Albert Police Service responded to the Canadian Tire gas bar on Marquis Road West for a complaint of a robbery. They were told that two women had entered the business with masks and hoods and brandished a knife. The suspects fled the business on foot with cash and cigarettes, and initially evaded a track by a police dog.

On Tuesday, police said that an investigation had led them to a 16-year-old woman and 15-year-old woman, both of Prince Albert. The two have both been charged with robbery with a weapon and are due to make their first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
