A suspect has been arrested after allegedly attempting to break into a local residence.
Shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, patrol officers were dispatched to a break-and-enter call at a residence on the 500 Block of Eighth Street East.
A resident saw a suspect attempt to enter the back door of a residence. The suspect was unsuccessful, and walked away.
He was located a few blocks away by officers, on 700 Block of Fifth Street East, and arrested.
The 56-year-old Prince Albert man has been charged with attempted break-and-enter, and was due for a first court appearance Thursday.
