Stanley Mission Health Services hosted a three-day Community Fall Cultural Gathering, Oct. 14, 15, and 16 at the community’s Wellness Centre grounds.
The days involved opportunities to learn new skills and have haircuts, and hands on Healing.
Display tent activities included: beading; preparing bannock, moose hide, wild game; Paddle/fish net making and “much more.”
Traditional meals, including fish fry and moose, were prepared on the site and available to all visitors.
It is always important to pass on the traditions to the younger generation, one Elder said.

Charlleen Charles teaches beading during the Fall Cultural Gathering.
