New Hope Community Church welcomes the new year in musical fashion

For the first time, and on short notice, Esterhazy-based singer Rachel Dancsok is bringing her country gospel show to New Hope Community Church.

“She contacted me towards the end of last year and just mentioned that she’d be in the area and she’d be open to do an evening at our church if we wanted to, so I said, ‘Sure that’d be great,’” pastor Rick Martin said.

“This kind of came up just over the Christmas season, so it hasn’t been in the planning that long but I think it’s going to be very good.”

Dancsok will perform at New Hope on Sunday, Jan. 15. The concert is first-come, first-served and in lieu of selling tickets the church will be taking up a collection with all proceeds going towards Dancsok and her ministry.

Martin said he has shared the bill with Dancsok in the past and he may open the show with a performance of his own.
