Several people arrested after shooting investigation

The Prince Albert Police Service has arrested and charged three people with attempted murder following a week long investigation into a shooting on March 23, 2025 in the 1200 Block of 16th Street West.

We want to reassure the public that we will not hesitate to act when the safety of our community is threatened,”  Chief Patrick Nogier  said in a release

On March 25, 2025, the white truck believed to be involved in the shooting was located unoccupied at a residence south of Prince Albert. On March 27, 2025 while attending a call for service, one of three suspects in relation to the investigation, 25-year-old Brianna Forest was arrested in the 1600 block of 15th Street West.

Through their investigation, officers obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 700 block of 12thStreet West.

On March 28, 2025, that search warrant was executed by members of the Prince Albert Police Service Emergency Response Team (ERT), alongside patrol, crisis negotiators, scribes and members of the Saskatchewan RCMP Emergency Response Team.

As a result of a coordinated effort and teamwork from all teams involved, atotal of 10 people were arrested from the residence. Members of the Prince Albert Police Crime Reduction Team (CRT) executed a further search of the residence which resulted in the seizure of a Sawed off Remingtonmodel 788, Glock 19 9mm handgun, Springfield 9mm handgun, Binelli shotgun, assorted ammunition, paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking, clothing items worn on the date of the shooting-Cocaine-Canadian currency

As a result of this investigation, 32-year-old Craig McDonald, 31-year-old Shelby Pinnell, and 25-year-old Brianna Forest have been charged with attempted murder, discharging a firearm with intent, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, possession of a weapon without a license, unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle, and possession of a restricted firearm withammunition.

The 32-year-old Craig McDonaldis also facing charges relating to possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.

A fourth person, a 24-year-old man, is also facing multiple firearms charges.
