The Prince Albert Catholic School Division confirmed on Wednesday that a school bus transporting students to Ecole St. Anne School was involved in a bus incident at the 800 block west and 28th street.
The division also confirmed that there was a student involved resulting in minor injuries.
“In an abundance of care, the student was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further assessment,” the release stated.
All parents/guardians of students that were on the bus have been contacted. An update from the child’s family has been received that the child is doing well and is at home.
According to the division counsellors from Catholic Family Services are available at Ecole St. Anne for emotional support for any students who may be in need. The division said that school bus transportation continued as planned for the remainder of the day on Wednesday.
The division thanked the Prince Albert Police Service and Parkland Ambulance for their quick response to the incident.
