Saskatoon police announced Sunday that they arrested 37-year-old Kyle Hameluck after breaching conditions of his release just days after being the subject of a public safety advisory.
On Thursday, Saskatoon police issued an advisory and said that he was to be released from the Saskatoon Correctional Centre on Saturday.
On Saturday, around 7 p.m., police arrested Hameluck in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South. He is set to appear in provincial court on Tuesday.
Hameluck was previously convicted of 70 incidents of voyeurism, indecent acts and trespassing at night. He has already served three prior sentences in 2017, 2020 and 2022, with two of his sentences resulting in time served, and all of them included periods of probation.
He received a three-year sentence in October after pleading guilty to 23 voyeurism charges for offences that happened between 2017 and 2024.
After receiving an enhanced credit for time spent on remand, he had just over six months left of his sentence to serve and was now on probation for two years.
His court-imposed conditions included remaining inside an approve residence between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. and abstaining from the possession of drugs not prescribed by a doctor.
Further conditions were that he had to make no attempt to directly or indirectly contact past victims. Possessing any cellphone or digital devices that have the capability of taking photographs and videos was also prohibited.
