With 80 percent of the La Ronge Nordic Ski Club trails impacted by the 2025 wildfire season, the Ski Club is excited to announce they will host their annual Saskaloppet March 6 and 7, 2026.
The Kapesuin Overnight will begin at noon on Friday, March 6 and the other events will take place on Saturday, March 7.
Along with work on the damaged trails, volunteer club members are busy rebuilding at least one of the three warm up cabins which were also destroyed by wildfire activity.
Restoration work has begun.
Skiing is underway with the race team practicing and others organizing.
