Rosetown RCMP are investigating the theft of a custom barbecue trailer from the Hamlet of Fiske.
The RCMP were notified about the theft on Feb. 18. Investigators say a suspect hooked a vehicle up to the trailer and drove off with it the morning of Feb. 17.
The vehicle, a red GMC or Chevrolet half-ton pickup truck with a silver rear bumper and black mudflaps, was seen leaving town with the trailer on surveillance camera.
“Those from rural Saskatchewan know that a barbecue is more valuable than its typical use. In many of the communities we serve it supports fundraisers, gatherings, events and, in this case, specifically the local curling rink,” Rosetown RCMP Cpl. Chris Gramlich said. “We need the public’s help to identify this vehicle or locate this stolen item so it can be returned to the residents of Fiske.”
