Health officials reported 90 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, along with 177 more recoveries and two deaths, one of which was in the North Central Zone.
Both patients who died were in the 80-plus age category. The second death came in the North West. The province did not release any other details about the two patients.
Healthcare workers administered 6,724 vaccine doses on Monday, including 538 in North Central, and 75 in the three far north regions. Roughly 68 per cent of Saskatchewan adults have received the first vaccine dose.
As of Monday, there are 143,504 fully vaccinated Saskatchewan residents, including 11,033 in North Central.
North Central reported 15 new cases on Tuesday, along with 17 more recoveries. There are now 101 active cases in the area.
Prince Albert and North Central Zone 1 both reported seven new cases each, while Zone 3 reported one. There are now 54 active cases in Prince Albert, 32 in Zone 1, and 15 in Zone 3.
The Far North West and Far North East zones both reported four new cases and five new recoveries. There are now 42 active cases in the Far North West, and 35 in the Far North East. Far North Central continues to have no cases.
The North East, which includes Nipawin, Tisdale and Melfort, reported seven new cases and five more recoveries. There are now 34 active cases in the area.
More than 6,000 North East residents are fully vaccinated.
Saskatchewan now has 1,053 active COVID cases. The Saskatoon Zone has the highest number with 291, followed by the Regina Zone with 159, the North West with 120, and South Central with 108.
Far North Central continues to have the lowest number of active cases with zero, followed by Central East with 16.
There are 104 COVID-19 patients in hospital, including 18 in intensive care. One of those ICU patients is in North Central.
