Across Saskatchewan, autumn is a season of preparation and hard work. It’s the time of year when months of dedication begin to show, equipment comes in from the fields, grain moves into storage, and farms prepare for another Canadian winter.

Agriculture is built on reliability. The equipment needs to work. The buildings need to protect what is inside. And the people who maintain and operate farms need to know they can count on their investment.

For more than 60 years, Steel-Craft Door Products Ltd. has shared that same commitment to manufacturing products that Canadians can depend on.

Steel-Craft exemplifies Canadian pride, producing top-tier residential and commercial garage doors since 1963. Headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility meticulously produces every part of its doors, from durable hardware and track systems to robust torsion springs. Steel-Craft’s dedication to quality ensures optimal performance and longevity, making Steel-Craft doors a trusted choice for Canadians. Steel-Craft doors are made with Canadian materials, by Canadians, for Canadians.

Built for the Canadian Prairies

Those in agriculture understand that Saskatchewan weather presents significant challenges. Buildings and equipment must endure some of Canada’s most demanding conditions, including extreme heat, direct sunlight, heavy rain, freezing temperatures, and blowing snow.

Steel-Craft uses 100% Canadian door steel and aluminum, combining durable materials with decades of manufacturing expertise. Steel-insulated doors provide strength, durability, and energy efficiency, while features such as Steel-Craft’s patented WeatherLock technology help strengthen and protect against the elements.

Steel-Craft’s ClimaCore polyurethane insulation is 100% CFC- and HCFC-free and delivers high R-values to provide thermal performance. For residential, agricultural, commercial and industrial buildings, that can mean a more comfortable and efficient interior environment while helping protect the equipment, materials and products stored inside.

For applications where aluminum is preferred, Steel-Craft aluminum doors feature corrosion-resistant construction and Hydr-O-Guard technology to help keep harsh weather outside where it belongs.

Canadian Manufacturing

At Steel-Craft’s Edmonton manufacturing facility, all garage door components are produced in-house. By manufacturing sections, track systems, hardware, rollers, and torsion springs internally, Steel-Craft maintains control over the entire process.

This approach allows Steel-Craft to ensure quality at every stage, not just in the finished product. It also reflects a broader Canadian manufacturing philosophy: build locally, invest in Canadian workers, and design products for Canadian conditions.

Steel-Craft Door Sales & Service Ltd. supports this commitment with branches across Saskatchewan. Local dealers provide convenient access to products, service, and expertise.

Innovation Technology

Canadian manufacturing does not mean standing still. Steel-Craft continues to provide new technologies and finishes designed to improve the performance and appearance of its doors.

Steel-Craft now offers Reflective Coating Technology in SC Regal Black, Deep Matte Charcoal, and Saddle Brown. This revised textured reflective paint system is designed for greater durability, improved efficiency, and appearance.

Enhanced UV reflectivity and a thicker textured application allow this coating to reduce surface temperatures by up to 15°C, improving door performance in extreme Prairie conditions. Originally developed for high-performance roofing

and cladding, it has been adapted for Steel-Craft garage doors to resist fading, minimize glare, and maintain its finish in intense sun, heavy rain, and freezing temperatures.

Unlike traditional paint, this textured finish forms during curing through a controlled chemical reaction with the steel, creating a subtle, natural depth without secondary coatings. It also reduces thermal bowing, especially in darker colours, helping maintain structural integrity as temperatures fluctuate.

Where Performance Meets Curb Appeal

Steel-Craft Residential garage doors are available in Woodgrain texture in a range of colours and finishes, including White, Sandstone, Brown, Sable Grey, Deep Matte Charcoal, Saddle Brown, SC Regal Black, Weathered Wood, Cedar and Walnut.

Commercial doors are available in a durable Stucco texture in White, Sable Grey, Brown, Deep Matte Charcoal, Saddle Brown, SC Regal Black and Aluminum.

Steel-Craft has also introduced a new Smooth finish for Prairie Ridge, available in three reflective colours: SC Regal Black, Deep Matte Charcoal and Saddle Brown. This clean finish combines the streamlined appearance of an unembossed texture with the performance benefits of Steel-Craft’s reflective coating technology.

When a standard colour is not the right fit, Steel-Craft offers custom colour options. Insulated doors can be custom painted to complement the exterior of a home, shop or commercial building, with painting completed in-house at the Edmonton manufacturing facility.

For a modern architectural look, aluminum doors are available in Anodized, White, Black and custom powder-coating options.

With a range of textures, colours, finishes and customization options, Steel-Craft doors can complement everything from a Saskatchewan farmhouse and detached garage to an agricultural shop or commercial building, bringing together the appearance you want with the durability and performance expected from a Canadian-made product.
