The Prince Albert Women’s Hall of Fame is officially accepting nominations for their next Hall of Fame class.

The nominee’s work must be of benefit to the Prince Albert community, but her contributions may have had an impact on the local, provincial, national, or international community.

Prince Albert Council of Women president Chrissy Halliday encouraged everyone to nominate a deserving woman.

“We have so many dedicated and compassionate women in and around Prince Albert who work tirelessly in this community,” Halliday said in a press release. “We all benefit from their accomplishments and I am pleased to see this work acknowledged each year by the Women’s Council.”

Each year, the council honours a local woman by inducting her in the Women’s Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony takes place in March in honour of International Women’s Day.

The nominee does not have to be involved in the work of the Prince Albert Council of Women. As well, anyone can make a nomination and the nominator does not have to be involved or associated with the Prince Albert Council of Women.

You do not have to be a woman to nominate a candidate.

The nomination deadline is Feb. 13. To receive a nomination form, email rose.r@sasktel.net, call or text 306-961-8410, or visit the group’s Facebook page.
