Prince Albert Police are investigating in relation to a stabbing that occurred late Friday night.
At approximately 11:50 p.m. on March 28 police were dispatched to the 500 block of 9th Street East for a weapons call where it was reported a female had been stabbed.
Officers quickly arrived on scene and located a 46-year-old woman with injuries consistent with a stabbing; she was transported to hospital by Parkland Ambulance with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Further investigation revealed the victim was walking when she was approached by an unknown female; a short verbal exchange occurred and the suspect was asked to leave the victim alone. A physical altercation then occurred where the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim before fleeing on foot.
The suspect is described as female, between the ages of 20-30, wearing a black jacket, and black and white pants.
Officers on scene located and seized a knife from the scene.
