Police lay charges after two cruisers rammed during traffic stop

Prince Albert police have laid multiple charges after the driver of a stolen vehicle rammed two cruisers early Friday morning.

Officers from the Prince Albert Police Service initiated a traffic stop at around 5:40 a.m. on May 1 after locating the stolen vehicle at a business on the 200 block of 15th Street West.

The 19-year-old female driver of the vehicle then drove directly into one police car before reversing course and hitting another. No officers were injured during the incident.

All occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody at the scene. The driver faces multiple charges, including two counts of assaulting a police officer.

The 36-year-old man is charged with breach of probation in relation to the file.
