Police investigating after infant struck by vehicle

One-year-old passed away in hospital from critical injuries suffered in the incident

The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating after an infant was struck by a slow-moving truck in the Art Hauser parking lot Sunday night.

According to a press release from the police service, officers attended to the parking lot at about 6:38 p.m. for a truck that had struck an infant at “very low speed.”

Parkland Ambulance transported the one-year-old to the Victoria Hospital with critical injuries. She later passed away in the hospital.

The police and the coroner’s office are collaborating on the investigation.
