Police arrest two suspects after seizing drugs and weapons

Prince Albert’s Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET) arrested two people last Wednesday for drugs and weapons offences.

ISET is made up of officers from both the Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) and RCMP.

At approximately 12:05 p.m., they arrested a man who was parked in his truck in front of his residence on the 300 block of River Street.

They found a large amount of Canadian currency, a bag of about 1.28 grams of methamphetamine, a methamphetamine pipe and brass knuckles.

Officers conducted a search warrant of the residence, finding a taser, bottle with suspected GHB, a bag of about 3.17 grams of methamphetamine, a bag of about 1.88 grams of MDMA and other drug trafficking items.

Police also arrested a woman who was in the home.

A 42-year-old man from Prince Albert is charged with possession of methamphetamine, GHB, MDMA and proceeds of trafficking exceeding $5000, as well as six weapons-related charges and breach of his recognizance to not possess or consume drugs or possess firearms.

A 37-year-old woman from Prince Albert is charged with two offences related to the taser and possession of methamphetamine, GHB and MDMA.

Both appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Thursday.
