The Pierceland RCMP have asked the public to report all sightings or information about 31-year-old Daylan Kahpeepatow, who also goes by the names of Dylan Kahpeepatow or Daylan Ochuschayoo.
Daylan Kahpeepatow is wanted on warrant by Pierceland RCMP for charges including robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and careless use of a firearm related to this incident.
He is described as 5’8 and around 122 pounds with brown eyes, and long, black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hat, blue jeans, and a black and white coat. Kahpeepatow is known to travel to Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Island Lake First Nation, and Loon Lake in Saskatchewan, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
If anyone sees Daylan Kahpeepatow, do not approach him. Report all sightings and information about the whereabout of Daylan Kahpeepatow to your local police. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers
The charges stem from an RCMP investigation into a report they received on Feb. 9 saying a man was walking on Big Island Lake Cree Nation with a firearm. The Pierceland RCMP responded immediately and began patrolling the community to gather information.
Police say the suspect pointed a firearm at one person, and attempted to steal an ATV. The suspect then entered a residence and stole a phone from another person while carrying a gun.
