PAPS respond to three separate incidents since Monday

Police have had a busy week in the city; three different incidents beginning on Monday morning have led to charges.

A 32-year-old man is facing charges of robbery and possession of a dangerous weapon after he attempted to steal a woman’s car on Monday. Police were called to the 500 block of 15th Street East just after 9:00 am and found a passerby holding the male suspect at the scene.

Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 28th Street East shortly before 11:00 pm on Monday for a weapons complaint. A 38-year-old man is being charged with assault, uttering threats, and possession of a controlled substance following a short standoff with police. He was arrested for threatening people inside the residence with a gun.

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed on the 1400 block of 14th Street West shortly after 1:30 am Tuesday. The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries; the incident is still under investigation.
