Prince Albert police have arrested and charged a 46-year-old man following an investigation into a stabbing that occurred in the Cornerstone area of Prince Albert on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were called to a business in the 800 block of 15th Street East at around 4:20 p.m. following reports that a man had been stabbed.
After arriving, officers found a man with serious injuries consistent with stabbing. Parkland Ambulance transported the man to Victoria Hospital for further care.
Through their investigation, officers were able to obtain a description of the suspect and began patrolling the surrounding area.
Shortly after, a man matching the suspect description was located and arrested without further incident. A search of the man incident to arrest result in police locating a box cutter knife.
As a result, the 46-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault. He made first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Thursday morning.
