Two men have been charged with second-degree murder in Sunday’s shooting death of David Jordan Charles.

On March 10 at 10:16 a.m., Pelican Narrows RCMP received a 911 call about a shooting on Linklater Street in Pelican Narrows.

Shortly after, reports came in about a man who had been brought to the medical clinic with a suspected gunshot wound and declared deceased. An investigation was started into the circumstances of his death.

That investigation led to charges of second-degree murder against George Samuel Custer, 23, and Gregory George Custer, 22.

The Major Crimes Unit South, Prince Albert General Investigation Services, RCMP Saskatoon Police Dog Services and Forensic Identification Section were all involved in the investigation.

The RCMP’s investigation is ongoing. Anyone that has any information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Pelican Narrows RCMP at 306-632-3300 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or online at www.saskcrimestoppers.com.

Both of the accused are due in Prince Albert provincial court on March 26 at 2 p.m.
