Northlands College celebrates annual Culture Days

Northlands College celebrated its annual Culture Days, Thursday, Sept. 18, with tours of the college, a fish fry feast, and a chance to explore many local agencies.

Métis Nation Saskatchewan provided information on the history, culture and traditions of Métis people.

There was an opportunity to explore craft with Christina Lindskog, who prepared hides demonstrating the process of tanning hides. She also had a display of beaded items.

Local youth enjoyed the activities, including making bubbles.

Guests were welcomed, including Saskatchewan’s Lieutenant Governor Bernadette McIntyre, who also spoke during the event.

Participants and guests were treated to a fish fry, which received a many rave reviews.
