A northern Saskatchewan partnership group has donated $250,000 for the new Prince Albert Ronald McDonald Children’s House.

Kitsaki Management Limited Partnership includes 11 companies. They announced their contribution on Friday in Saskatoon.

“We value community and family, and have seen firsthand Prince Albert’s important role as a gateway and essential services provider for northern families,” Kitsaki Management CEO Ron Hyggen said in a press release. “We’re honoured to support Ronald McDonald House Charities in their mission to provide comfort and care for families during challenging times.”

The donation will support capital costs and operational expenses at the new Prince Albert House. The house will offer 12 rooms plus other conveniences aimed at easing the emotional and financial burdens of families undergoing medical treatments.

A guest room at the Prince Albert house will be named after Kitsaki once construction is complete.
