No injuries or property loss were reported after a grass fire forced the temporary closure of parts of Hwy 11 south of Prince Albert on Saturday.

The Prince Albert Fire Department were called to an area roughly four kilometres south of the junction with Hwy 2 following reports of a grass fire along Hwy 11.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a large area of hay field and brush on fire. Crews were on scene for several hours extinguishing the blaze.

Due to visibility restrictions from smoke conditions, traffic was temporarily diverted to grid roads from the northbound lane of Hwy 11.
