No charges laid after PAPS investigation determines fatal October 2025 collision was non-criminal

The Prince Albert Police Service will not lay charges after completing their investigation into a collision that occurred on the northern part of Prince Albert that left one pedestrian dead.

The PAPS announced on Wednesday that the collision, which occurred in October 2025, was determined to be non-criminal.

First responders were called to the Hwy 2 and Hwy 55 area north of the river at around 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 11 following reports that a vehicle had collided with an adult female pedestrian who was not conscious or breathing.

Parkland Ambulance paramedics arrived on scene and began life-saving measured on the woman before transporting her to hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The woman driving the vehicle remained on scene
