Construction of the park started in mid May, 2024 and total completion is expected to be in the spring of 2025.
“I believe it’s money well spent because we have to invest in our youths,” Mayor Greg Dionne said. “When we start them young and they have a place to play, apart from positive development physically and otherwise, it helps keep them out of trouble. We are going to ensure that we have these spray parks in all the neighbourhoods, and why I like them especially is that they are all for the youths.”
Additional features will include the Wiggle Ladder, Oodle Swing, picnic tables, benches and a sunshade ensuring that family comfort and convenience.
