The Melfort Mustangs and underdog Weyburn Red Wings each took 2-0 series lead in the SJHL Semifinal series last weekend.
The Mustangs took a 2-0 series lead with a 3-0 shutout win over the Terriers in Melfort on Saturday, April 5.
Kristian Coombs stopped all 28 shots he faced to record the shutout for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs led 1-0 after the first period and 2-0 after the second period.
Zac Somers, Logan Belton and Cole Unger scored the Mustangs goals.
Ethan Farrow made 24 saves for the Terriers.

Bo Eisner and Will Munro each had a pair of goals for the Mustangs; Zac Somers and Zach Turner added the other Melfort goals.

In the other semifinal the Weyburn Red Wings took a 2-0 series lead with a 4-1 over the Bombers in Flin Flon on Saturday, April 5.
The Red Wings led 2-0 after the first period and 3-0 after the second period.
Liam Fitzgerald had a pair of goals for Weyburn; Simon Martin and Josh Sale added the other Red Wings goals.
Leighton Carruthers scored the Bombers lone goal.
Matthew Kieper made 24 saves for Flin Flon; Angelo Zol made 31 saves for Weyburn.
