A multi-agency search for a man who went missing in Prince Albert nearly two months ago continued on Monday.
Dilbert Thomas, 62, of Southend was last seen on March 29 near the South Hill Lodge on Second Avenue near a fuel station and bus stop. Since then, friends, family, and police have continued efforts to find him.
The latest attempt began at 9 a.m., with members of the Prince Albert Police Service and the Search and Rescue Association of Volunteers (SARSAV) fanning out between 42nd Street East and 48th Street East and heading towards Central Avenue.
The Prince Albert Police Service said in a press release that they expected more than 40 volunteers to participate.
The FSIN previously issued a call for public assistance on April 10.
“We are deeply concerned for the safety and well-being of Mr. Thomas,” PBCN Councillor Jeremy Morin of said in the FSIN’s press release. “He is a respected member of our community, and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. We are asking anyone who may have seen him or has information to come forward. Even the smallest detail could help bring him home.”
According to the April press release, Thomas’ vehicle and phone were found after he disappeared. Thomas is around 5’8 and 210 pounds with dark brown eyes, black hair, and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black and blue ball cap, a black Carhart jacket with a black Levi Jacket, blue joggers, long white socks, black shoes, and black prescription glasses.
