Staff members of the Correctional Services of Canada (CSC) seized more than $800,000 in items thanks to searches and tips from the public.
Items seized included tobacco, lights along with mobile phones and accessories. A quantity of methamphetamine was also seized.
CSC has several tools at their disposal to prevent drugs from entering its institutions including ion scanners, and drug detector dogs that search buildings, personal property, inmates and visitors.
