A 31-year-old man has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking after investigators searched a residence in Regina.
On Feb. 11, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Moose Jaw Crime Reduction Team (CRT) obtained a search warrant and searched a residence on James Hill Road in Regina as part of an ongoing investigation. Regina Police Service SWAT assisted.
Officers located and seized more than 400 pharmaceutical-style tablets, about 30 grams of unknown powders that will undergo further testing, ammunition and trafficking paraphernalia.
Four individuals were arrested at the residence, two of which were later released without charge.
As a result of continued investigation, 31-year-old Emmanuel Jacob is charged with the offences of possession for the purpose of trafficking (hydromorphone), possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a weapon contrary to order and failure to comply with probation order.
Jacob is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on April 8.
The other man arrested was wanted on warrants from Regina Police Service.
The investigation continues.
