Saskatchewan continues to move forward with steady economic growth and ongoing investments in key services. Our priority remains clear: supporting communities and delivering what matters most, made possible by a strong economy. Recent figures from Statistics Canada show Saskatchewan leads the country in wholesale trade with a 14.6 per cent year-over-year increase. This growth reflects confidence
in our economy, helping create new opportunities and ensures we can continue investing in the priorities that matter to the people of our province.
Health care remains a top priority for our community and our government. Here at home, construction on the Prince Albert Victoria Hospital continues to make progress and is now 25 per cent complete. The new tower will bring meaningful improvements including a larger emergency department, modern
operating rooms, and a dedicated maternity unit with a neonatal intensive care unit. It will also include advanced imaging services such as an MRI and a welcoming First Nations and Métis cultural space at the main entrance. These upgrades will help ensure patients and families across northern Saskatchewan can access the quality care they need.
Supporting people also means ensuring safety and stability in our communities. Our government is investing $1.46 million in additional funding through the National Action Plan to End Gender-Based
Violence, which will support 10 organizations and programs across Saskatchewan. These investments will focus on supporting survivors and their families, prevention, improving the justice system, Indigenous-led approaches and more. We thank all the organizations for collaborating with us to help women, girls and families live safe and prosperous lives.
Investing in social housing is essential for strengthening communities and ensuring more families have access to safe and reliable homes. I am proud to share the work underway on our government’s
previously announced $1.5 million renovation project at Bryant Place, an 87-unit social housing complex in Prince Albert. The renovations include upgrades to essential infrastructure and improvements to the building’s safety and functionality. These updates will support long-term stability and provide a foundation that families can rely on for years to come.
Our province is made up of talented and creative individuals and organizations. That’s why our government is pleased to announce that applications are now open for this year’s ArtsVest
Saskatchewan program. Since 2011, we have invested over $2 million in the program, helping create more than a thousand partnerships between the arts, culture and heritage sectors and the private
sector. This has resulted in a total economic impact of over $10 million in Saskatchewan. Applications are encouraged and will be accepted until March 12, 2026. For more information, visit
