Melfort’s best in business recognized at Mel-Bex Awards

MTAAC Facebook Photo The winners of the 2025 Mel-Bex Awards which took place on March 22 at the Kerry Vickar Centre in Melfort.

The best in business in Melfort were saluted at the Mel-Bex Awards in the CJVR Performing Arts Theatre at the Kerry Vickar Centre in Melfort on Saturday, March 22. 

The annual award presented by the Melfort Trade Alliance Chamber of Commerce handed out eight awards. 

The Citizen of the Year was the husband and wife Dr. Yemi Laosebikan and Faluke Laosebikan and  the Junior Citizen of the Year was Baylee Turner. 

The Business of the Year Award ( 15 employees and under )  was Backstage Music and the Business of the Year Award ( 16 employees and over )  was presented to the Wapiti Valley Ski and Board Resort. 

Community Involvement – Non Profit was presente to the Melfort Arts Council and  
Community Involvement – Business was presented to Ripley Ford. 

The Heritage Award was presented to Golden Grain Bakery. 

And the Property Appearance was presented to Spa-Fit by Linda. 
The Customer Service Award was a tie between  Melfort Liquor Loft and  Nutters Everyday Naturals. 
The evening also included a performance by Donnie Parenteau.
