Male charged in Custer homicide investigation

The Prince Albert Police Service have charged a 24-year-old male with second degree murder in connection with the death of 44-year-old Norman Charles Custer last Saturday.

The accused in Custer’s homicide was taken into custody on Thursday afternoon northwest of Prince Albert on Thursday afternoon by the  Prince Albert Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Patrol and Canine sections.

The Prince Albert Detachment of the Saskatchewan RCMP, RCMP Canine Unit and RCMP Emergency Response Team also assisted in the arrest.

The accused has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Prince Albert on Monday at 10 a.m.

His name cannot be released until after his first court appearance.
