The La Ronge Arts Council hosted an evening to honour local artist Roger Jerome.
Jerome has dabbled over the years in a wide variety of art mediums and never stops exploring.
A large crowd gathered at the Alex Robertson Public Library to see some of Jerome’s work and celebrate his work.

Roger Jerome visits with neighbours as another Arts Council Lifetime member, Miles Charles looks on from the sidelines.
One of his most famous pieces is on display in the Saskatchewan Legislature.
During the evening Jerome received a Lifetime membership in the La Ronge Arts Council.
There were several other lifetime members in attendance for the event.
The event also included a recognition of a display of indigenous moccasins, the Robertson Moccasin Collection. The moccasins were part the Robertson Trading Ltd collection of Indigenous artifacts that has escaped the loss of the Robertson Trading Post, which was burned by wildfire in June.
The moccasins are on display in show cases that were donated to the library by the Robertson’s recently.
The evening was a time for people to gather, enjoy the art along with some freshly baked bannock and jam, and catch up on each other’s news.
