The City of Prince Albert closed Kinsmen Water Park for most of the day on Thursday following a medical emergency that forced Parkland Ambulance paramedics to transport a swimmer to hospital.
The incident occurred at around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday when lifeguards responded to a swimmer experiencing a medical emergency, the City of Prince Albert reported in a press release. The swimmer was taken to hospital to receive treatment.
The City did not release further details about the incident, but said in a press release that the Kinsmen Water Park has an adult supervision policy, where children under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult who is in the water and within arm’s reach at all times.
The water park was closed for the rest of the day Thursday after the incident. The City said the closure allowed staff to complete a debrief.
