Coroner Robert Kennedy will preside at an inquest into the death of 34-year-old Trevor Charles scheduled to run from Aug. 18-21 in Creighton.
The first day is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Creighton Court Room on First Street East.
Charles went into medical destress in Pelican Narrows RCMP Detachment Cell on July 16, 2023. Staff began life-saving efforts before EMS arrived and transported Charles to the Pelican Narrows Medical Centre where he was pronounced deceased.
The Saskatchewan Coroners Service is responsible for the investigation of all sudden, unexpected deaths. The purpose of an inquest is to establish the medical cause and manner of death and when and where that individual died. The coroner’s jury may make recommendations to prevent similar deaths.
