The Nipawin Hawks are still in second place in the UPL Division as the season continues. The La Ronge Ice Wolves completed a lengthy southern road swing and the Melfort Mustangs were swept by the Flin Flon Bombers in a home-and-home last week.
As of Nov. 24, the Hawks are in second place in the UPL Division with a record of 13-6-1-0 with 27 points, four points behind the first place Flin Flon Bombers. The Mustangs are in third place with a record of 8-9-0-1 with 18 points and the Ice Wolves are in fourth place with a record of 5-13-2-1 with 14 points.
Nipawin closed their week with a 10-1 win over the Warman Wolverines in Warman on Saturday, Nov. 22.
The Hawks led 3-0 after the first period and 6-1 after the second period.
Noah Derouin and Eric Hoiness each had a pair of goals for the Hawks; other Nipawin goals came from Mason Karokochuk, Noah Heinrich, Finley Radloff, Carter Anderson, Jaxen Smyth and Clayton Nesbitt.
Cam Sarna scored the lone goal for Warman.
Gage Roberts made 34 saves for Nipawin. Griffin Wright made eight saves for Warman in just over 29 minutes before he was replaced by Steven Wawryk who also made eight saves.
The Hawks opened their week with a 4-2 win over the Melville Millionaires in Melville on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
Nipawin led 2-0 after the first period and 2-1 after the second period.
Derouin, Radloff, Will Whitter and Hudson Gainer scored for the Hawks.
Kale Margolis and Jackson Lee responded for the Millionaires.
Gage Roberts made 26 saves for the Hawks; Fuzz Aafedt made six saves in a period for Melville before he was replaced by Noah Sinagwoitz who made 17 saves.

Melfort was swept in a home-and-home by the Bombers after Flin Flon defeated Melfort 5-2 in Melfort on Saturday, Nov. 22.
The game was scoreless after the first period and the Bombers led 3-1 after the second period.
Tristin Ziola and Will Munro scored for the Mustangs.
Joey Lies had a hat trick for Flin Flon and Rhett Ewen and Reid Arberry added the other Bombers goals.
Madden Mualwka made 27 saves for Melfort; Finn Werner made 21 saves for Flin Flon.
The Mustangs opened their home-and-home with the Bombers with an 8-3 loss in Flin Flon on Friday, Nov. 21.
The Bombers led 2-0 after the first period and 6-2 after the second period.

Mulawka made 14 saves for the Mustangs in juts over 22 minutes before he was replaced by Kason Kobelka who made 24 saves. Matthew Bradley made 13 saves for the Bombers.
