Humboldt RCMP on the hunt for suspect who threatened 10-year-old children with firearm

Humboldt RCMP are seeking public assistance in locating a suspicious man with a firearm.

On May 23 at around 7:30 p.m., Humboldt RCMP received a report of a suspicious man with a firearm on Eighth Avenue.

Police were told a man in a truck approached two children under the age of 10. Police say the man pointed the firearm at the children and threatened them. The man did not fire the weapon, and the children ran away with no injuries.

Investigators described the truck as an older model white Chevrolet. RCMP made patrols in the area looking for the suspect and vehicle. As of press time, they have not been located.

Officers are asking anyone who has information about this incident, or who witnessed suspicious activity in the Eighth Avenue area in Humboldt on the evening of May 23, to please contact police immediately by calling 310-RCMP.
