HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt & District Gallery is inviting local crafters to another edition of UFO (Unfinished Objects) Night on Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The free event brings together people working on various creative projects — including knitting, crocheting, painting, writing and more — offering a chance to complete unfinished work in a welcoming, social environment, said Mackenzie Hopp, cultural programmer.
Participants are encouraged to bring any portable craft project they’ve been meaning to finish. The gallery will not supply materials, so attendees should come prepared with their own supplies.
UFO Nights offer a chance to connect with other creative individuals in the community while finding motivation to complete long-standing projects, said Hopp.
The event is organized by Humboldt & District Museum and Gallery staff. The Humboldt Museum is located in the historic 1911 post office building and highlights the city’s local history and cultural programming.
It became designated a municipal heritage property in 2011 and, after renovations, was reopened in January 2014 as a professional art gallery.
