A 23-year-old man is facing multiple charges after a East Flat break-in and double auto theft.
Police were dispatched to a residence on the 1300 Block of 4 Street East just before 8 p.m. Thursday. When they arrived, a complainant told them that someone broke into his garage and stole two vehicles.
Just four blocks away, officers found a man who they knew was wanted on outstanding warrants. They searched him, and found personal documents belonging to the auto theft victim, as well as a signed cheque.
The man, identified through court records as Montana F. Lane of Prince Albert, was placed under arrest and charged with break-and-enter, theft under $5,000 and breach of a probation order.
