The Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) has been a cornerstone of Indigenous education and empowerment in Saskatchewan for over 40 years. As a recognized First Nations-governed institution, SIIT is dedicated to providing relevant, accessible, and culturally rooted education and training opportunities that align with the needs of Indigenous communities.
SIIT offers a diverse range of programs, and applications are now open for Fall 2026 courses. Programs include Indigenous Early Childhood Education, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Business Administration, and various trades-focused training options like Heavy Equipment Operation and Power Engineering. These courses equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their chosen careers.
Cultural activities play a significant role in the SIIT experience. The institution integrates Indigenous traditions, ceremonies, and teachings into its programs, ensuring students feel connected to their cultural identity while they learn. Smudging ceremonies, Elder support, and cultural workshops are regularly offered, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
To support student success, SIIT provides a wide range of services, including academic advising, mental health supports, career counseling, and childcare options. With strong connections to industry leaders, SIIT also helps students transition smoothly into the workforce upon graduation.
Whether you’re pursuing a career in education, aviation, trades, or business, SIIT offers pathways to success while honoring Indigenous culture and values. Visit www.siit.ca to explore programs and apply today!
