The RM of Prince Albert has closed their office on River Street, effective immediately, after an individual who works in the building tested positive for COVID-19.

The RM made in announcement in Facebook post Friday morning.

As a result of the diagnosis, all staff will be in isolation and self monitoring following Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) guidelines.

“I am truly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, thank you for your patience and understanding,” administrator Roxanne Roy wrote in the post.

The post explained that email and telephone communication from ratepayers will be monitored and administration staff will respond to inquiries remotely.
The closure means the regular meeting of RM of Prince Albert council scheduled for May 13 will be postponed until the office reopens on May 25.

Any questions or concerns can be addressed by Roy at her cell number 306-941-1709.
