A 24-year-old man from Turnor Lake accused of hitting a police cruiser with an ATV has been arrested.

Andrew Morin, 24, faces multiple charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited. Morin is accused of hitting a police cruiser, causing minor damage to the police vehicle, and then fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported.

In addition to the charges, Morin also received several tickets related to ATV operation.

The charges stem from an altercation that occurred in Turnor Lake on Jan. 27. RCMP officers were called to a residence in the community shortly after 5 p.m. following reports of an assault.
