Back to Batoche Days 2026 started their annual celebration off with opening ceremonies including traditional Metis Dancers, a prayer, traditional First Nations Honour songs, the Canadian and Michif National Anthem, and opening remarks from the President of the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan, and various council members made speeches. Back to Batoche Days will continue from July 16-19, with many cultural events and activities on Back to Batoche Festival Grounds.
