A 29-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in Prince Albert’s third homicide of 2019.
The man is due for a first appearance in court on March 26 at 9:30 a.m.
The charges relate to a March 20 incident at a downtown apartment building where a 21-month-old was found unconscious. The child later died in the hospital.
Police originally said the victim was two-years-old. They revised that to 21 months Monday.
An autopsy was conducted on March 21 and the death ruled a homicide.
Police said the incident didn’t appear to be related to another homicide that occurred at the same building later in the week.
