One of seven people charged with murder for a Pelican Narrows death is back in jail, after breaching his release conditions in Prince Albert.

Brandon McCallum was found drunk in a vehicle outside the 7-Eleven on Branion Drive. Police took him into custody for violating his recognizance, which required him to abstain from alcohol.

McCallum pleaded guilty to the breach and got a sentence of time served. But he will remain in jail until Tuesday, when he will appear at the Court of Queen’s Bench for a new bail hearing.

The eighteen-year-old McCallum is one of seven people facing charges for the murder of 17-year-old Hilliard Sewap Jr. In April, Sewap was brought to a Pelican Narrows health centre with critical injuries but died shortly after.
